Yes I've seen that. They do the pre departure test and 1 other. What gets me is that you book day 2 and day 8 test. You can have another at day 5 to cut short the quarantine, but you cant use the day 8 test early you have to BUY another. Also read numerous posts where the tests don't even arrive ...

...in time and 1 where these tests didn't arrive at all. They rang the covid test number to say they hadn't received them and they got the NHS test free. What's all that about. Also my son has had the jabs (both) and is entitled to 2 free tests a week 'government policy'. Yet he cant use those tests as return tests. Just a money earner for someone. Wonder who's palms have been greased. Or am I just a conspiracy theorist 🤔

No dont think your a conspiracy theorist  ,I think you're spot on ,these companies will make a lot of money from these tests, its worrying that although vaccinated we may if we want to travel be forced into lining the pockets of these companies, be interesting to see if these tests are scrapped on 21 June when the so called roadmap ends

We came out late July last year - we just read the signs and booked our travel according to where we thought the rules would be when we wanted to travel. We have travel booked for our daughter in June and will be checking what the media is saying and weighing up probability. If it looks unlikely we will amend the booking 10 days before the flight date.

It won't be long know.

I've just seen on my phone that from 20 May Spain is to allow UK citizens to enter without a PCR test providing infection rates keep dropping   this was from Majorca Daily Bulletin ,you would probably want to check this out as wouldn't want to post fake news

Would that be the whole of Spain or just Majorca. The islands maybe different. I heard there is to be an announcement next week from the Spanish minister of tourism.

Question is. How much difference will it make if you still have to have 3 tests to return to the UK.

Significant if you want to go and weren't previously allowed. If you can stay long enough I expect UK will be green on your return.

It did not say Majorca ,it just said Spain, I think if you google Majorca Daily  Bulletin  you can probably read for yourself ,I know it wouldn't prevent the testing to return at the moment ,but if the PCR test is lifted to enter Spain  ,a saving there and perhaps UK may be pressured into something similar

If people can't hack 10 days of quarantine when returning they will just hold off. It's a long time to sit about doing nothing other than working.

That's if you can stay long enough. I'm thinking of the holidaymakers that Spain is trying to open up to. I cant see that saving £60 is going to be a massive draw  maybe if the UK didn't want 3 tests that would be a bigger attraction but then people wouldn't be tempted by the staycation.
