There are several different types of visa and depending on what you want to do will dictate the type of Visa you will need. 

You cannot come to Spain and look for work without a visa that allows you to do that otherwise you will be working illegally. 

You can visit Spain (when its allowed) fo holidays but you will be limited to 90 days maximum stay within a 180 day period. You can still purchase a holiday home here, no problem. 

If you want to buy or start a business here there are many, many hoops to jump through and can prove to be very expensive.

Yea now UK left the EU its no longer easy to just up and leave, unless you earn good money in the UK then you're kind of restricted to where you can live which is shame

Benidorm has some beautiful areas away from the club area and many Spanish nationals still live here. Don't take everything you see on TV as gospel.

Get an appointment with the Spanish Consulate in London to get your NIE number, or this can be done at a Police Station in Benidorm, as it allows you to work and let's the Government know that you are living in Benidorm, so they know about what taxes you have paid! ...! The next thing to do is buy a property if you don't already have one, once you are living in Benidorm apply for Residency, this will all be explained to you over time! You can stay for 90 days out of 180 if you are a UK citizen, but you have to go home after that! The situation has got more complicated since the UK left the EU!! It's their own fault luckily I have duel Nationality Irish and British, but I only use my Irish in Europe as Ireland are still part of the EU!!!
