I HOPE THIS IS OK....Could anyone may be give me a bit of advice please?

Iv set up a small Glitter business doing glitter and gem hair face and body decoration. I started last June and so far it gone down really well at many different events. From large festivals to smaller events in bars and pubs.

Id love to bring my Glitter to the sunshine and offer it to the holiday makers of Benidorm.  I know there is lots to consider so I thought I'd put it on here to see if anyone may have ideas, or useful contact to help me get the ball rolling.

Here at home England. I have often set up in bars when they have events running, and was hoping for to do something the same, I would love to get a spot on the beach front that would be amazing!I'm looking at Easter & Summer holiday times.  I have a full DBS and liability insurance. All just ideas for now, but any advice would be welcomed.I do have a face book page I can lead you too should you want to see a little more of what I do. Thanks.

To do something like that you would need to register as self employed which can be expensive.

I think it is an amazing idea. I used to have my own hair & beauty salon and was looking for a supplier for this type of thing as I thought it was something some of my clients would love to try, especially body gems for on the beach and nights out.

As someone has already said to go autonomo (self employed) can be expensive but I think at the moment there are special offers to help small businesses to start up.

Maybe you could ask at the Ayuntamiento of the area you want to be about trading on local markets or on the beach.

Good luck

There is a 50 € flat rate during the first year for new "autónomos".

Ask for more information in the employment and local developepment agency at your Ayuntamiento.

Good luck!

An interesting idea and I'm sure could be successful with tourists of all nationalities.

As for 'setting up the business' I would suggest that you would need to do a lot of homework , for instance check out to see if a similar business is already operating in the area.

It may be a good idea to approach existing shops-hairdressers and even bars where you could 'rent a space' and maybe visit different sites on different days.

Becoming 'legal' would depend on various factors, ie. are you considering a permanent move or would it just be for a short time during the main holidays?

Operating a business in Spain is not as easy as UK, you need licences for just about everything, so you would need to ask the advice of a Gestor ,they handle all sorts of contractual matters etc., and many in the Benidorm area will speak English and be able to guide you without great cost.

I have been in Spain for almost 30 years, and did spend 14 years in Benidorm operating shops, with 5 shops and numerous 'franchise ' shops around the area, I did also 'rent space' to other people for short periods, it worked quite well for all concerned.

I made many mistakes when I first set up my business ..but learned quicky....

Good Luck with your venture.
