Sounds like it could be a dodgy cable connection. Do you have any boxes connected to the tv via HDMI or Scart connectors, is your tv picture generated by a digi box, satellite or aerial?

I have connected all the same cables to another tv and all working

If your tv is an old model it maybe more cost efficient to buy a new one instead off having any repairs done….

Yes.
Modern TVs aren't designed to be repaired like in the old days. The technology used to make them nowadays is completely different & it's cheaper just to buy a new one.
