Hi, cannot tell you if many Brits living in Benissa as such - its still a small Spanish town, but does act as a local centre for many of the surrounding villages. Throughout most of this area there is a high concentration of foreign residents - not only British but French, German, most Northern European flavours!!! There are more on the coast as such, but huge populations inland also.

Hi,

I rented a villa there two years ago. The town had a very Spanish feel but while I shopped in Aldi and Iceland there were loads of brits...so they are there but fairly well diluted amongst the locals..

Is it difficult to become part of the community there?  Particularly if you don't speak Spanish yet?
