I know as an unvaxxed EU citizen (Irish passport) that I can fly to Spain from a UK airport with a negative PCR/antigen test and will be armed with the Spanish embassy advice which confirms this, in case I am challenged. That said I would prefer to stay in a hotel than an apartment. Does anyone know of any that is permitted to accept unvaxxed travellers in either Calpe or Benidorm?  Thanks

Hi Rhia,

None at the moment, because you are required to show proof of double vaccination to enter hotels, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, etc.  This is likely to change from 1 March, when Comunidad Valenciana has said it will lift the requirement, so best to keep a lookout for confirmation of that change nearer the time.

Kind regards,

Kim

Thanks Kim, I also saw the report that the Valencian region  president was likely to lift the COVID pass requirements by not extending the current Order beyond its expiry of 28th Feb. Do you know when the official announcement is to be made?

Hi Rhia,

We usually get about a week's notice, so I would guess any day now and certainly by the end of this working week.

Kind regards,

Kim
