Hello Ray,

Please refrain from referring to our Prime Minister as a waffling buffoon. It’s offensive and unnecessary as I now know your opinion of him as do others so please, no more.

Yesterday, we heard on the news that King Juan Carlos has left Spain and is in hiding because of fraudulent activities. Nobody from the UK has passed any negative comments as it is unnecessary.  It is common knowledge that many politicians in Spain leave a lot to be desired but Thankfully, we don’t feel the need to constantly go on about it. I was very proud to hear Boris speaking on the news yesterday and has given financial help to the people of Beirut. No doubt, there will be some negative remarks at some point. Hopefully not.

Honestly Ray, if somebody spoke about you in a rude and condescending way, I would be equally annoyed.  We are all adults and deserve some respect.  None of us are perfect, least of all me but it’s hurtful when people who you don’t even know speaks about you an unflattering way.

I would dearly like to see respect and politeness coming back into this forum.  Let’s give it a try! Cheers every.

Grannyrose...I have to agree with Ray...the PM is a waffling bufoon...in the Cummings episode he showed no leadership whatsover and is in my opinion the worst P the UK has ever had...beating Theresa May hands down

Tony 333.  You told me twice, I believe you!

Would you take on his job? First, Brexit, second a baby on the way and he is still married to a different lady, third comes Covid 19. A difficult time for the poor man, give him a chance!

Life isn’t easy for any of us and I believe in live and let live!  It’s a tough old journey for the best of us.

Come on Tony 333, give the man another year and then we can decide just how good or bad he is.  I doubt anyone could have done much better under the terrible circumstances he was faced with.

Look back and decide how many Prime Ministers really did well. Tony Blair told lies and brought us into a horrible war where so many lovely young people lost their lives. David Cameron, another Etonian took a chance and asked the people of the UNITED KINGDOM to decide if we should stay in the EU or leave.   That didn’t go down very well, did it?  Teresa May, a lady, who did her very best to negotiate an agreement with the EU and they made a fool of her all the way along and she trusted them. Poor lady was left to hang out and dry. Now, we have Alexander Boris Johnston who seems to have displeased many of us.  Had it been Corbyn, would the comments have been better or worse?

All I am asking is that we refer to people , including our Prime Minister is less colourful terms.

Old fashioned standards .... people years ago were never as well off as we are today but they had dignity and respect for one another. I love old fashioned good manners!  I love when a gentleman opens the door for me or helps me to my seat or holds my coat while I put it on. It doesn’t take much effort but we ladies love it when a man makes the effort to make us feel special.

Tony 333, thank you for your message.

Ray D.

“ safer here than in the U.K.”

Honestly, do you genuinely believe that we are unsafe in the UK?   Take it from me, we are as safe as houses here apart from the few areas that are experiencing Covid 19. Nowhere near as bad as in the north of Spain.

It was kind of you to reply and encouraging but you don’t mention the likelihood of people all arriving from Madrid and other areas who could make your area much less safe. I hope and trust that they don’t bring infection but it is a strong possibility.

It’s a strange one, but we believe that we are safer here than in Spain so perhaps we are all living in the right place.  Safe as houses!  So far!

Maybe the people from Madrid are more aware of the covid 19 crisis then anyone else in Spain.

These people have suffered the most from the virus and are more likely, to be much more aware of the danger then the UK "revelers" in Benidorm.

Hi Grannyrose no mention of the King of Spain the stories of this man are either true or he don’t trust  Spanish Authorities. Prefer to have a idiot run  the country than a liar and con artists.Wait till August is over and we will see who’s to blame.

This is true. I am still holding my flights. And am still not sure as Ryanair are saying you can only rebook once but have no flights past October - they say France is going to be closed soon. Just taking each day as it comes!

Ex King Juan Carlos checked into a luxury 5star hotel in Abu Dhabi yesterday after fleeing from Spain.

Spain has the highest number of Covid 19 infections and has surpassed the U.K.

Today at 4pm, Denmark has implemented a quarantine for anyone travelling from Spain.

Another area in Castille has had a huge spike in infections....90 Kilometers from Madrid.

Should I continue?

Do you still believe that you are safer than in the U.K.?   I hope you are.

Finally, I now know enough about the spanish royal family and it’s ex King!
