We, like many others, are dying to get back over to our place in Spain (Pinar de Campoverde) and thought about driving over.  I just wondered though if you have to quarantine when getting back to the UK - there seems to be differing bits of advice on this.  Dont want to risk driving ove...

Thanks

Yes I’m 100% sure you do.

Yes you must quarantine in U.K. for 14 days when returning from Spain and France ( & many other countries too) See gov. U.K. website for full information also the form that must be completed.

You had presumably provided API information to the Ferry/Tunnel

So Borderforce do know you have returned, but the system does seem very poor

Depending when you are returning the country may be in quarantine as a whole so it may make no difference

I'd read up on latest Spanish lockdown particularly when travelling between autonomous regions.

I drove down from Caen to Jalon 20-22 October. Didn't experience any travel restriction and no-one at the border crossing into Spain. Just the normal covid precautions everywhere I stopped. Vast majority of people very compliant. Very limited facilities at service stations but all open. Hope that helps but watch closely for any changes.

Hi, with the closure of borders to Cantábria, Castile y Leon, Castile la Mancha, I would suggest heading for South West of France then Soria onto Albecete then Costa Blanca.

Hope this helps?
