Ok, this is an old question I know, but I keep having this discussion on the 90 day rule, If I stay for 14 days, 26/2 I have 76 left, so if I go back another 45=days in 180 day period which would be end of August , have 31 days left, so I lose them if I don’t use them , and wo...

There is no period of 180 days in a block. There is no "losing" any days if you don't use them. The 180 days go from the time you enter the EU and rolls along. It is not a fixed 180 days at all.
Use this Schengen calculator and you will see the days you have left. You do not have to leave the Schengen zone for 90 days after 90 days if you have not used up your time. Just remember it is a rolling 180 days, not a fixed block of 180 days. It will depend on the time you last left and then 180 before that. Go away a week and you knock a week off those 180 days where you started from.
Just lose the idea that it is a fixed 180 days when it isn't. eg If you leave on 26th Feb then 180 days before is 24th Aug 2023. Go away a week and your 180 days now starts from 31st August.
Rolling 180.
