I did read your post and your comment, "Spanish residents are not limited in number of days they spend in SPAIN ONLY" suggested to me that you thought Spanish residents wouldn't know this, hence my question. Never mind...... 🙂

well according to some commenters they seem to be under impression Spanish residents can stay however long they want in Schengen zone outside Spain as well. so i can't be sure :) plus of course Euro Zone and Schengen zone are not the same but that's another story

Thanks, yevlondon, and yes, there are a number of EU countries that are not in Schengen, but unfortunately for the OP, France and Italy aren't two of them!
For completeness, countries in Europe and not in Schengen, are: Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Ireland, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Turkey, Ukraine, the UK and Vatican City.

Hi Christie,
We have to wait on agreement between the UK and EU, as to what type of Third Country National we, as UK citizens, will become (I can't remember whether there are 2 or 3 categories, it's on the UK Gov website), and also whether the EU grants the UK any special status for its citizens post Brexit. Personally, I think it's unlikely - how would other Third Country states, let alone other disgruntled EU member states, feel about the UK leaving the 'club', but still being allowed special privileges? 🤔
Although, I'd love to be wrong 😉

wow. that's so wrong :) now you are conflating EU and Europe :) Ukraine is not in the EU. it is in georgaphic Europe. so is Armenia and some other countries you listed.

Yes, yevlondon, you're correct, my second paragraph should have started "European", not "EU", which I have now changed.

Ok, this is an old question I know, but I keep having this discussion on the 90 day rule, If I stay for 14 days, 26/2 I have 76 left, so if I go back another 45=days in 180 day period which would be end of August , have 31 days left, so I lose them if I don’t use them , and would have to wait 90 days to renter , as I understand it and have been using my stay that way.,
