Hi

Hubby and I have an NIE appointment next week at Elche Police Station and wondered if anyone used a translator and if so could they recommend anyone?

Idea of price to expect to pay would be much appreciated👍

We did it on our own .We just went to the immigration office in Alicante for mine and to he police station for my partners. If you have the paperwork ready you just go in and show them your papers , wait until they call you or your appointment number is called hand in the papers and thats it.We got ours within a hour.Take a look at Jims guide to NIE on this forum , i followed the instructions and had no problems at all.We also speak no spanish.I also followed Jims guide to getting a Padron , also in Elche . I took the paperwork that Jim said and just went to the OMAC office next to the townhall waited my turn then a lovely lady who spoke very good english did the registration straight away and gave me my padron.Jim has great step by step guides that will help you and save you money on translaters.Good luck. For your NIE you need 5o book an appointment  online, Jim also gives step by step guide on that too.

Hi

We went for NIE both had early morning appointments at Elche Police Station mine 9am husbands 9.30 but we both were seen together.

We were asked to show him:-

Our appointment form

Our passports

Photo copy of inside of passport

Form EX15 which we signed when asked

Stamped Form 790 to show paid at bank

Photograph passport size

We brought everything but the kitchen sink just to be safe but not asked to see it or why we wanted NIE

Good luck!
