Myself & family have just completed the sale of our villa in villamartin. Was all set to come belongings delivered by removal company, due to needing the green card residency which we have not been able to apply for with not being there if we had proof of the deeds of property & nie numbe...

...rs would that be enough support to get us threw the spanish borders. Could anyone advise please so desperate for us to get to our new life in spain

Good morning,

I travel back and forth to the UK every week or two for work. I can only give you advise based on my experiences. This most recent trip (since the residents only introduction) i was checked on 3 separate occasions after arrival to confirm both my residency and negative covid test. This was upon landing in Alicante. I was also checked by the airline staff prior to boarding in the UK. I think this is where they're aiming to police this.  I wouldn't like to take the risk not knowing the course of action should anyone get as far as arriving in Spain without the residency.

I did hear about a few people with the older style (yet fully valid) green residency cards being rejected by British airways staff in London. This has since been addressed and rightly so both green style and TIE are now accepted.

I know its probably not the info you wanted to hear, my concern would be getting through the UK end and ending up in a predicament on Spanish soil.

All the best and i hope its not too long before you get to start your new life in Spain

Cheers

Darren
