What’s the difference from forbidding people not related from different households meeting homes but allowing family members from different households meeting? Oh yeah, they don’t want to stop Spanish families from meeting up, heaven forbid!

The rules appear to be exactly the same for meeting friends or family in the open air. I don’t understand your comment.

When it says Orihuela, does it just mean the city, or all of the far reaching villages which technically come under Orihuela, same with Torrevieja, where does it start and stop?

Not having had reason to leave Oliva over the last few weeks, I'm a bit confused as to where I can and can't go and when. I need to go to Valencia next week (midweek), can I still do this, or is travel between towns/cities forbidden?

Hi Gerry,

A midweek visit is fine, but you can't visit Valencia, or any other town/city that has 50k or more inhabitants, at weekends and on festival days.

Kind regards,

Kim

It's probably just me being thick but csn we visit friends and sit in the garden? It refers to visits in homes, I'm assuming the garden is regarded as part of the home, I don't want to flout the rules but we have a friend whose husband passed away recently and we visit her a couple of times a week. It could be really tough for those on their own.

Hi Sue,

Torrevieja has published a map of theirs and Orihuela's municipal boundaries - it looks like the restrictions are not just the city centres, but the entire municipalities:

Kind regards,

Kim

Hi Paul,

Unfortunately, no you can't.

-  If you look at the first box on the graphic, that restricts people in their homes to those with whom they share the home, but no-one from other households.

-  If you look at the second box, one person from one household can meet with one person from another household in "Espacios Publicos" (public spaces) - socially distanced with masks, of course.  So you OR your wife could meet your friend in, say, the local park or walk together in the street, but you can't both meet with her at the same time.

Kind regards,

Kim
