HIRING OR.BUYING A.CAR IN FORMENTERA

We bought our property 13 years ago, initially hired, but decided it would be cheaper to buy a car rather than hire everytime. No regrets we bought a car 9 years ago, we store it at the airport, Plane Parking, its €300 a year, they meet you outside the terminal when you arrive and you drop it off when you depart. No queue for hire no taxi costs. Car insurance usually covers breakdown and cover for any driver over 25, so if friends or family use your apartment they can use your car.

Our first car from the Citroën  garage in Benijofar, right at the top of the hill on the left before Quesada. Excellent service and after sales, can really recommend them. 

We then bought a brand new car 4 years later had a great scrap age deal trading the old car in for what we paid for it. Our current one a Hyundai from Auto Fima in Torrevija near Iceland, they also have a garage at Elche, first exit off the AP7, along the road with all the garages. Both garages excellent service and aftercare.
