Hi Carol

fyi - the area South of Torrevieja is awash with live music all year round, including afternoons. We know a Dutch couple who left Denia for that reason.

But I realise you may not want to move south.

Cheers

Try Algorfa, that usually has a few rental  options available. Easy parking and lots of lovely bars and restaurants.

HI, we’ve just bought a property in Benimar and there’s a bar on the roundabout that has live music. I didn’t go in so not sure how good it was. The Rojales caves are very quirky and I think they have live music once a week in the summer.

I’d love Spanish guitar to be played locally but i’ve  not heard of any local yet.

Ooops! Sorry - for some reason I thought Formentera was north of Alicante!

There's lots of live music in various bars in Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Florida, La Zenia and Cabo Roig. If you want more detail, just ask!

Cheers

Thanks Steve, I know about those areas however, renting and buying there is considerably more expensive. I saw property advised in Formentera De Segura and wanted to know more about the area before I decide to live there. Regards

Hi, I prefer musicians but flamenco is also nice to see. In general music in a bar rather than sports. Thanks

Couldn't agree more about SPORTS, if there is football on it's a very good reason to stay away... LOL

Give me live music anytime....

Formentera is a great place to live and socialise, this weekend jazz festival live music in the square, take a look at the Ayuntamiento Web site. Some bars do tribute acts, Sunleys does a weekly jamming session. Los Palacios  disco alley  Rojales caves do music, plus events several times a year in Formentera. It's a lovely friendly Spanish village, but if you are looking for Benidorm type entertainment then definitely not here  thank goodness

Hi, Formentera is a great place to live and socialise. The 3/4 day fiesta finished last night, the previous weekend 2 nights of jazz concert. In August the 2 werk fiesta will ve going. Bars in the village and easy walking distance, featuring entertainment and music. Sunnkeys do a Thursday jam, Rumours offer tributes and singers, more in disco alley Los Palacios. Then there's Benimar, heard some live singers a couple of times this week from our apartment. It's a nice friendly village I'm sure you would like it
