Birthday the beginning of August, still no 4 weekly pension paid into my account. Is this normal, or should I be contacting the Overseas Pension Office?
Thanks in advance

I would chase it up for peace of mind. Seems a bit long to wait.

Did they send you a letter telling you when your first payment would be?
It might not have been the full amount at first payment.
If not then Yes I would be contacting the UK Pension Services.

Very odd, usually give payment dates and partial/full amounts.
Yes, contact them today but have all information ready, they are usually very helpful and if they have made a mistake they will put your money in your bank immediately.

I thought it was weird, not giving any date on the letter....... mind, the person I spoke to when I applied didn't know how to spell Valencia, so maybe I shouldn't be surprised!

Yes, this is normal, however if you consider it to be 'late' no harm in chasing up. Did you apply for your pension within DWPs time frame? If you were late in doing so, this would be a reason. You don't automatically get your pension 4 weeks from pension age. What day you receive your payment on will depend on the last two digits of your National Insurance number, but it won't be any later than six days after you reach state pension age. This link will provide more information:

Glad it's worked out for you OK. Future payments should be every 28 days but could be a day earlier/later than originally planned, so no worries if your money is slightly late.
