Hi, all, we have obtained these but are having problems opening them and applying them to the government portals. Anyone able to provide an idiots guide? We are computer literate and speak a bit of Spanish but are baffled. Thanks in advance

Hi, if its the same as we got by e mail the digital certificate must be imported into your web browser, some info at the below link.

Also find specific instruction for Chrome below.

Hi
When I got my digital certificate, I followed the instructions and it was automatically installed in my browser (Chrome).
Then I opened Chrome and went to the relevant government site and clicked on "login using digital certificate". A box popped up quoting name and NIE - I simply selected it and hey presto, job done. You don't need to open your certificate first, or even know where it is on your laptop.
Note that digital certificate is not the same as Clave.
