What do you mean by "Medium" rental?
Some apartments are only available for renting at certain times of the year (which should be clearly stated) before renting out to holidaymakers.

If you have signed a "long term" contract and paid all the deposits etc then its yours to live in without interference.
Steve
I understand that. But we are not on vacation, we want to stay for a few years. In the same house. That's why I call a 10-11 month lease "a medium contract".
Hi
All the advice about coming here and looking and speaking to Estate Agents then are are correct. Also, if you find a town you like ask around, especially to the Spanish - many locals have property that they inherited that they are willing to rent out but they don't use estate agents.
Also, places near the coast and in 'holiday' resorts will usually prefer to rent to tourists during the summer if they have a Tourist licence (and many that don't!). If you are prepared to live a little inland it will be much easier to find a long term let, plus the prices will be much lower, and you won't have loads of tourists, and the noise and parking issues they bring, in the summer.
If price is a consideration look at places in Valencia Province such as towns like Villalonga or Oliva town. They are still very Spanish but have a good mix of foreigners and are very affordable.

Hello, this post really comforts me! Thank you so much! I have now more confidence in my dreams, ha, ha. My dream is somewhat awkward... suppose an old blacksmith or carpenter would stop working all together. The space, this working place is what I am looking for, to be able to sculpt. If, the dream becomes more briljant, above the working place, there is a little house, where I could live.
The municipality could in future attract tourists for working shops in art, specially sculpture. Or it could be a creativity centre for the local kids.
So if anybody has knowledge about a Spanish town, between Oliva and Valencia, or further up. north, where such a old working place, is.... PLEASE contact me!
Gracias,
Babs
I am from Holland, Wassenaar
