Hi all

can someone offer us some advice or direct us to be best place to go to get the info we need.

we have a place in GA we started to look at residencia before lockdown happened , our plans are to come to GA from UK on 10th July in order to start the residencia process.

Finding it difficult to find a web site in order to get advice , we have been told by a Spanish resident that although on Monday lockdown my go to phase 4 there are rumours of a second lockdown from 11th July ?

Can anyone offer us some advice ?

Regards

Just to add to what Ray has said, once the State of Alarm ends on 21st June, the Spanish national government will hand Covid-19 controls over to the autonomous regions, so if there are any further lockdowns (and I haven't seen any suggestion of another on 11th July), they are likely to be in response to regional 'spikes' in infection rate.  It would be up to the autonomous region in which a spike occurs to decide to what extent they lock down again.

Kind regards,

Kim

For help with residencia etc we would recommend the ladies at FAB in MASA Square. Their details are http://fab-consulting.com/services/

I don’t believe another lockdown is planned unless there is another peak of Covid 19. In fact they have already lifted quarantine restrictions and opened up for UK tourists to come back to Spain from today. The beaches, bars & restaurants are slowly opening back up. The shops and shopping centres are open although masks are mandatory in these areas. There has been no talk on TV nor radio of another lockdown.

Hi Ian

We did our residencia two years ago. We used Sylvia from FAB in Gran Alacant she is based in Masa square [email protected].

She was really helpful with the full process. I do believe certain things have changed since we did ours eg amount of money in bank etc. We needed a up to date Padron ( some areas can’t get one until after residency) proof of financial support and private medical care as we were under pension age, NIE passport etc

I believe at the moment appointments are hard to get so I would get in touch with Sylvia ASAP.

Good luck

Spain has ended lockdown today!👍We have an appointment in Alicante in two weeks for a residency application, we have to supply 6 months bank satements stamped by the bank, they have to be in Spanish! Also proof you have payed for private medical care including surgery, again stamped by the bank. Proof of €700 each going in each month and €7000 each in the bank. Pardon certificate no more than 3 months old and a few other bits. I would advise you get a good English speaking solicitor! Good li
