According to the Independent the UK will accept results from a lateral flow test for re-entry. You can get these test kits free on the NHS. You might want to consider getting a supply and taking with you. We will be.

I think you will find that you will show evidence of the negative Covid test from a Company. So if you have the free test you will have to think about how you are going to show written evidence of a negative test. The Government disapproves of people using their free NHS etc funded tests for travel. In my opinion, I think it's best to pay the €39 for the Antigen test to return to the UK.

Hi

My understanding according to Gov.uk is that you must have paperwork showing the test date, specification of test and who carried out the test, so I’m fairly certain the free NHS tests intended for use in the UK will not be sufficient.

I would urge anyone thinking of using these free kits to check the gov website first to check for themselves. I would hate people to get to the airport and not be allowed to fly back to the uk.

Good luck all

Sharon

I agree. I'm pretty sure these tests will not be accepted. After all you cant use them when you get back, even though you are allowed 2 free test a week. How can some people/companies make a fortune out of you, if you could use the free ones.
