Hi does anyone know anything about the new properties being built by Masa in Monte y Mar?

I am considering buying a property but would like to know more about the proximity to amenities, quality of build etc.

Hello Claire. I can only speak from personal experience but I would avoid Masa at all costs. They took our money and spent two years fobbing us off until we went to court and bought the land. My three neighbours also had the same experience i.e ended up in court.

I know they have completed a lot of houses in Gran Alacant but I've yet to meet anyone who had a satisfactory experience. Quality is generally low and fixtures and fittings are at the cheap end - we only discovered this after putting out a facebook post when we were trying to get them to start our build.

The properties are at the low end in terms of price comparison which is what drew us to ours, that said, I guess you get what you pay for.

The CEO spends most of his time on his yacht and the sales director can't tell the truth if his life depended on it. As I say I can only speak from our experience and I would avoid them like a Covid-19 hotspot..

Hi, we had a property in Monte y Mar, bought 2005, sold eventually in 2014(lost 36k€ because of crash), however, I just wanted to say we were horrified with how cold in winter months the house could be because of the concrete panel walls. I,ve never been so cold and we live 10miles north of Newcastle, so we know cold. We went inland, finca built of bricks and although still cold 60kms inland compared to the coast, a much better build than concrete.

Regards

Pauline.

We had a fantastic experience buying a MASA property.

Still in the property now, when we took it over we had a few snags (as you would withnew build) but they were all resolved in the first 2/3 days.

Negotiated great payments terms with them and locked in the euro rate as well. Also got them to include outside tiling, double glazing within the price as well.

Very happy with the whole process. So many people buy MASA homes especially the Spanish. Can only assume that those who moan were unlucky or their expectation was too great for what they were paying. Most brits seem to think they could get a perfect villa in Spain for the price of a cheap terrace home in the UK. They need to be more realistic.

MASA for me were better than any UK builder that we have bought from.

Hi thanks can you advise me where your property is exactly? Did you have bank guarantees to protect your payments? Did you buy off plan?
