I know this has been asked in the past but could someone please advise on the legal fees, taxes etc.. for purchasing a property in Spain. We are looking between 100-120k EUR.

Thank you in advance.

Add about 14% on top for legal fees and taxes at the price you are looking for. 10% is transfer tax and the rest solicitors, notary and registration fees. utility connection and so on.

At about 175k and up then add about 13% for taxes and fees. Transfer tax will be the same but other charges will stay the same so less in percentage terms.

Thank you so much for your quick response. Gives us a good idea of how much we need on top of purchase price.

Forgot to add that if you buy a new build property there is a further 1.5% equivalent to UK stamp duty for getting the legal documents and registration completed.
