We have a property in the UK. Would I be allowed to pop home for a week to check it is ok? Or would I have to stay for two weeks in quarantine before returning to Spain? Any advice would be useful. Thanks

I believe that if your visit is less than 14 days then you need to quarantine for the length of the stay in the UK i.e 7 days in this case

The rules are a 10 second Google search away!
Hi, the UK gov website states "If you’re travelling to the UK for less than 10 days you will need to self-isolate for the length of your stay." So no problem with going to the UK for a week.

Wendy, welcome to the Forum, and as previously said, Yes, you would be within the Rules of Quarantine to make that journey, and then return to Spain.
