Hi I have had my appartment for a couple of years now and are using Sabadel for building and contents insurance but compaired to the uk are very expensive (1 bed flat €220.00 ) Can any one recommend any other insurers prior to September when it is due again

I also had a quote from Sabadell and found that they covered things that didn’t need covering as certain aspects of the buildings insurance were already covered by the Community insurance. My community is insured by Mapfre so I contacted them and their quote was good. It included a small discount because of the community connection. First year was €115.

Don’t forget to cancel your insurance at least a month (or before) otherwise they will just continue the policy without even telling you,this just happened to us so will be cancelling it well in advance

Thanks got a quote from the insurance chap in the life resort saved almost 100 Euro and better cover also
he also took care of the cancellation paperwork can highly recommend.
