I’m also in the process of gaining residency in Spain, but had (maybe naively) assumed that, as a British Citizen, there would be no limits whatsoever on my visits back to the U.K.? When you obtain Spanish residency you don’t give up your British nationality surely??! :-/

Nobody’s appears to know this - I assumed like you that being a British National but a Spanish resident would allow free unlimited visits to UK but no one is able to confirm this for me

Thank you very much for clarifying. I thought that was the case, but got confused with some previous posts, but I guess they were relating to returning to the UK to work.

Received similar advice this morning after an email enquiry , so all good as husband would be in Spain enough days of the year to comply with residency requirement with no limit of visits to uk 😅
I've only speed read this but the 90 days in 180 would surely suit or nearly suit your husband wouldn't it?
If he would spend 50:50 between UK and Spain then isn't he conforming with the 90 in 180 rule?
