He would have had to tell them the reason and I don’t blame him for not saying what the reason is on here as no ones business.  Ryanair check everything.  And they speak with the Spanish boarder force to make sure what documents you possess is  enough to get you in the country. I done it myself 2 weeks ago.    Why the witch hunt!

Keeping on at him.   He’s only shared his experience.  That’s all.

Well done ,you took the chance and it paid off ,I dont know when Spain is going to open its borders to UK citizens, we have had a high proportion of population  vaccinated with single dose and 15 million with both jabs ,a really low infection and death rate ,but still not good enough  ,but still 2nd home owners must  put their hands in their pockets to pay Bill's on these properties  when not allowed to use them ,Totally unfair in my book

Interesting, what UK airport did you use to access Alicante Spain, what was your reason for travel. Now you’re here, stay safe and healthy my friend.

Hi

Flew from Luton to Alicante with Ryanair. Neither UK or Spain controls much interested in my Covid test just my Padron and Spain QR code.  At Alicante, those with Residency were sent to the auto barriers and about 50% of us without residency went to the booths with our reasons. I just showed my Padron but had back up with car registered at my friends house and my marriage certificate, but it wasn't needed.

Lady next to me showing a letter from the hospital regarding her dying mother.

Hope that useful

Colin

Hi and thank you for your reply, so what would you have said if asked for the reason of your visit, was it about your car being registered at your friends house? and how would your marriage certificate had helped? Or are you’re married to a Spanish citizen or resident. Very interested,Thank you.

Its still illegal to leave UK with a valid reason

No it’s not! You can leave the UK provided you have a valid reason. Stanley Johnson did , many others have and so did I. Just keep your windows wound up at the border!

No matter how you get in you still have to quarantine when you arrive back home
