Yes if you read the small print then if you don't have a Residency document, then a Padron dated pre 1st Jan 2021 got me through. Even though it was out of date. It was accepted by Ryanair leaving UK and by officials at Alicante airport.

By the end of this week all Gvt.. restrictions in force will not be extended. Instead, new restrictions CAN be issued by local authorities (CC.AA.) which doubtlessly will lead to a complete chaos, as those instances have no legal base to interfere in the "freedom of moving" granted by the Constitution. Everything can happen - or nothing.

Its still illegal to travel from the UK without a valid reason

Guess you chanced it and managed to get through, a padron is not always accepted as proof if residence etc, never mind an out-of-date one!
Well done in beating the system, many others who try won’t have the luck that you had
