No sir, I am not having a laugh. It was a genuine question, as I have not seen this in the decree stating that home deliveries of pre-cooked food are not allowed. As this is a forum, I asked you. I have seen deliveries continuing here. Although not partaking in this service, I was wondering if yo...

I think you might be confused. Two posters were discussing takeaway meals. One was saying it was not allowed and one was saying it was allowed. I then posted that since it was a National Decree with the same regulations across all of Spain that one of those two posters must be wrong. I did not say which one is wrong.

No sir, I´m not confused. I understand the two differing points made, regarding delivered food from a "takeaway".

You stated it´s, " It's a national state of alarm with the same regulations for all of the Generalitat. The regulations have been posted on these forums many times".So what point were you trying to make?. It´s allowed or not?

This is what I said at the beginning of this thread....our local restaurant although not able to open to customers have gained permission and now operate by delivering pre ordered meals and only by delivery.

I didn’t realise that the pedantic would split hairs over ‘ take away’ terminology perhaps I should have referred to it as bring away !🙄😂

I think there's evidence emerging that some people are handling this lockdown better than some others!

😁😁😁😁

Thanks for your replies folks.

If you don't know that's fine, but what is exactly the rules? If restaurants are offering takeaway are they breaking the 'law' - if it is allowed then what is the problem? I do understand the 'risks' but surely it is up to me to take them? People are free to smoke and that is their decision. I'm ...

...pretty 'old' but I do remember the Asian Flu of 1957. 2 million died then but nobody ever suggested closing down the economy then. I'm not going to break the law in Spain but it do we have to go along with it without question? An economic collapse will kill far more people than corona. Wake up and start thinking!

14000 died not 4 million btw. 😉

Is it allowable to drive a short distance to pick up a takeaway?

No. Take aways can be delivered by bars and restaurants. They should already know this.
