So that’s why there was so many fireworks last night, didn’t realise it was a double whammy - absolutely wonderful.

I was sitting outside watching tennis and had to flick the volume up as the fireworks were so noisy.

It really makes you realise how much you  missed the fireworks during covid,  I love rushing outside to watch them.

Congratulations to Nottingham Forest as well!

Lynn

 Hello,

Thanks Lynn . Bring on the next 'occasion' to celebrate --- & more fireworks.

Cheers

Hello

I love it too Cheryl, especially if it is football related.

Yesterday my team---- 55 years a supporter) got promoted to the Prem Lge after waiting, hoping & praying for 23years & I was the one making all the noise in my Urb - no English people here but sharing it online on laptop and phone till after midnight haha

My spanish neighbours celebrated till after 3am the night before,  so a good weekend here for football lovers

Cheers

I really will enjoy the P.L.

Yes it's been a long wait  for us but a magical season to achieve it.  It doesn't feel real but it does feel RIGHT!

Back where they belong, even if they did beat Arsenal in the best cup in the world this season!

Hello Cheryl

Yes we did, that was a good night on TV.

When people ask me if I miss anything about the UK, I always say---going to watch NFFC ha! It will be worse now!

You are correct  Bizzanno, the first time you hear the explosions etc it is pretty shocking, sounds as though we are being invaded ! 😳  Eventually we come to expect a racket every time Real Madrid win a game, or there is some fiesta, party or celebration going on for what ever reason the Spanish certainly know how to celebrate.    You will learn to enjoy it too !

Did you forget to take your medication today? 😁

I think he did, how can you mistake fireworks for military hardware. Lol.

Because it wasn't just fireworks.  It started on Friday with fire crackers, which you can only locate from a brief puff of black smoke in the sky, but sound like cannon fire, and it continued periodically all weekend, until it ended with massive firework displays late on Sunday night.  We live in the campo between Formentera and San Fulgencio, so we were getting it from both sides, but I would guess that if you lived in the centre of either of the villages, you'd think you were in a war zone.  For anyone not expecting it, I understand why they could find it very alarming.
