 Man I'M' serious this was happening between 2100- 2300hrs Flash grenades off every 2 min Morters same. As i speak at 00-11-00.12 mortors explode..

 3 more mortor explosions and 2 insindery grenades , high velocidy .50cal 

 Mortar fire decreasing but sporadic ,

 I am not delusional , iv witnessed this recorded this.

 Honesty  understanding.. That is all i asked.

This weekend is the 'Feria de Sevillanas', the second most important festival to the Spanish, after Semana Santo (Easter).  I didn't get much sleep last night from all the explosions and fireworks either,  and my poor dog didn't know what to do with himself.

The 'Moors & Christians' parades will start towards the end of next month too, another noisy fiesta.  It's the way of life in Spain, but it may help to put the major fiestas in your calendar, so at least you'll be forewarned.

By the way, if you're ex-military, you have my deepest sympathy - my nephew was invalided out of the army after his last tour in Afghanistan.  He would not be able to cope with the explosive noises we hear during Spanish fiestas.

Was it the Champion's League Final?
We were watching it and noticed lots of loud bangs when Real Madrid scored and then lots more after the end of the match.

Cheryl, you’re right , I’m in the campo of Guardamar and the atmosphere last night during the final was amazing to hear. Fireworks, rockets etc. When the goal was scored and the final whistle went  the noise was tremendous. They then took to the streets, touring round, tooting horns etc. 

Nice to hear that after 2 long years the Spanish are back into party mode.
