Thank you Janet, but it was a one off cleaning request that I needed and not something regular. Thank you for your response though.

My solicitor -also my fiscal representative - has confirmed that no licence is required for long-term lettings, only for holiday lets.  Is this the licence you mean?  If so, you should say so.  Such licences are still being issued in certain parts of Alicante Province.  It is worth knowing that no-one should be letting any property on a holiday let basis before the licence has been issued; if it hasn't been issued, both the owner of the property and any agent promoting the property are liable to be fined.

The reply wasn't to you but you certainly ought to be aware of it.  I replied specifically to message I put in quotes.  This is normal practice on this forum as I've seen it done many times.  It's a public forum and sometimes you have to accept that a post will trigger messages about related things to which people will reply.  This message is also to the original poster who is claiming as "their page" - which is rot. 

I felt that the person who had stated you need a licence had not stated all the facts to people who might be taking on cleaners - ie those who let their properties in the first place.  You should actually be aware of what could have a negative impact on any business you want to undertake; this is that, if people can't get a licence to let their property to holidaymakers, it will reduce your potential number of clients.
