My husband and I are looking to buy a property in Guardamar town itself and not an urbanisation. We are interested to hear what people's views are on living in Guardamar and what areas are good for having a property.

Guardamar is a lovely town. If you are thinking about a flat, be careful about how it is situated as many of them never see the sun.

Hi Lesley. Yes good point from Kenneth,we rented for 3mths and never saw the sun,not many houses for sale in Guardamar itself, mostly apts, so do your research, its a great town lots of shopping and restaurants, that’s why we bought here we on outskirts of Guardamar in Portico Mediterraneo since January,so if you want more info let me know. Good luck with your search.

Thanks Kenneth and Cava Lady for your responses and tips.  We visited in March this year and loved the place.  It's ideal for us as we won't have a car and can walk everywhere. We've rented a place for the month of May so we can get more of a feel to where we want a place. We won't be living there permanently but intend to visit fequently and for a couple of months at a time. Really looking forward to going back.

Hi guys

Guardamar is a fantastic place to live.we been hear for 3 years and love it.even set up out own cleaning key holding company.we rent as it's so cheap and it takes time to know exactly what you want.south facing is a must as it's cold in the shade and the longer your here the more you feel it.plus walking to town can be a track.Ok for two weeks but long term a problem.I would advise to rent and find out your needs then look for your dream home.some places are too far out and some nether see the sun. Others you may not see a soul for days.Others are noisy.plus the city changes from month to month.hope that's help full
