Hi All.  Had anyone had a food intolerance test here in spain, don't have much faith in my g p, so was wondering where to go. Any recommendations would be grateful. TIA

Hello

They do them at the     private hospital in Torrevieja               https://www.quironsalud.es/torrevieja/en/services/allergology.

I had one years ago from an Ad. in a newspaper, but too long ago to have kept the details. The lady worked from a room in her home, I was sceptical but  it was really acurate regarding some foods I had an intolerance too, rather than allergic to

Cheers

Hello,

Are you talking the hospital route? I would just call them & tell them what you want, you don't need a letter referring you as you are paying for whatever you want.  There is an allergy dept & almost  everyone speaks  English at the Quiron.

When I had my test the lady gave me the results & explanation immediately

Good Luck

You do not really need an intolerance test doing.   Leave a certain food i.e., potataoes out of your diet for a week and then introduce it again.   If you have a bad reaction you know you are allergic to potatoes.   Then try something else.

Whilst doing this try to eat things you do not normally eat every day i.e., pineapples.   Good luck,    My GP in the UK did this to me many many years ago and it worked a treat.

And don’t conflate ‘intolerance’ with a genuine and possibly dangerous ‘allergy’.  True allergies are fairly rare, although well known, ie peanuts etc, whilst intolerance is basically something which may disagree with you.

Well said, I am actually allergic to meat and fish, really wish I could eat them but had anaphalatic attack when I was four years old so no longer can eat meat or fish.   I am jealous of vegetarians as I really wish I could eat meat or fish, vegetarians have a choice I do not.  I am also allergic to other foods - hence the intolerance test.
