5 weeks ago I made my application. I was given a Resguardo to collect after 5 weeks, the paperwork said no appointment required. I went down yesterday and collected it. A short queue, 20 minutes. As it said on the tin.

As I sat at the desk the clerk selected my TIE from a box that appeared to contain thousands of new cards. So I'm not sure the LOTE system is still running?

The Lote number is on the bottom of your resguardo , so the card can be collected anytime after they are up to your number. On our first appointment we were told card would be ready in four weeks. We kept checking the Lote number and the card was ready in less than two.   Not perhaps people just wait for a convenient time to collect their cards or are reliant on when their gestor takes them.

I know the gestors hate doing the card collection as the queue  for collection can be anything from 10 minutes to a few hours, you never know till you get there. One used to wait until he had a coach load of people with cards ready for collection and did just that - hired a coach for the day.

Do you remember what the lote number was on your resguardo? I'm waiting for 2022/48. I did the applicacion on 14th March and the lote number hasn't changed from 43 for a while. Maybe because of Easter. I can't take a chance on it being ready because I'm taking a disabled person, I could phone and ask but I never remember to in office hours.

I'm afraid I don't know the number - they retained the paperwork. But it sounds like they have moved the process forward quickly over the winter months.
