China ,Russia, Cuba all helping Italy no mention of EU

Germany and Switzerland are helping ok. The EU has limited powers because member States oversee Health ! The EU does support member States according to there needs however member States are free to ignore any recommendations too !

And yes China ESPECIALLY should be helping more than any nation state period ! That goes without saying surely !!!!! 😯😮😤😤😤

Thanks Jim as always quite correct. Unfortunately both Rees Mogg and Johnson and the other treacherous, Machiavellian conspirators have repeatedly ruled out an Extension 😠😠😈

In this pandemic crisis Boris refused to join an EU alliance group set up to help other countries with medical supplies such as gloves, masks, and gowns etc. As of yesterday a Consultant ENT surgeon has died in Derby and countless other healthcare staff are dying because of lack of PPE. The PPE t...

...hey have is either inadequate or Out of date ! A hospital in Hampshire were delivered PPE 6 years out of date such is the criminal incompetence of this villaneous UK government.😠

He refused assistance from China while some EU countries took up the offer - Spain for example and Italy.   ( had Spain listened to the Chinese gov and not ordered a supply of faulty viral test kits  from an unlicensed  vendor - all would have been well but China has also supplied other PPE.)

Germany and Switzerland which are amoung the largest manufacturers of Ventilators in Europe were asked by the EU commission to ramp up production and help supply Italy and other EU countries. YET again that malvolent buffoon Johnson refused !!! The USA another large manufacturer stated America come First in a nut shell ! Our new trading allie now that we have shunned the largest single trading block in Europe right on our doorstep and not separated by a vast sea. 😴😢😡

As is usual by successive UK governments - the law abiding, tax paying general public are treated with contempt and are and have been wilfully betrayed.  Example- just look at the shameless failure and sheer incompetence of the Foreign Office to rescue British travellers in all corners of the world ! Abandoned and the cretins in the FO can't even answer an emergency phone number or reply to emails of desperate people who in most cases are victims of sudden and unexpected lockdown with in some cases less than 24 hours to get to a port or airport of exit !! 😠

As usual the FO relied on the airlines and were terribly slow to realise the elephant in the room. The FO staff in embassies and consulates across the world are on the ground too ! Surely just like the unassuming traveller they too would have suddenly tuned in to the emergency situation? The FO staff have buildings, vehicles, resources, local contacts - If they really could not get people on rescue planes because countries closed borders and airspace further exacerbating the problem could have had at very LEAST offered some type of temporary sacturary. A room, a lift to a capital hub, a list of possible accommodations,  health advice, arrange a collective rescue hub - just something better than NOTHING?   At LEEAST pick up the bloody phone 😠

I survived the Tsunami in Thailand by God's holy eternal grace and mercy. Let me tell you the FO did barely NOTHING. In fact it was the Swedish embassy that did a huge amount of life saving work amoungst other foreign nations period !

Yet again this imbecilic , Oxbridge educated, privileged government have failed the British public as has the FO. They should hang there heads in Utter SHAME 😠

Meanwhile we get thrown in the meat grinder to pick up the pieces of our shattered lives YET AGAIN 😢😢😢

Rant over. Sorry to you Jim and one and all. After this pandemic things on all levels MUST change for the greater good of all of us on this planet. We have had a final warning I guess so it would be foolish not to react positively and proactively.

God bless, stay safe, be well, survive and rejuvenate 😆😆😆

It's up to Spain whether they extend the deadline for residency applications or not and I can't really see why they shouldn't or wouldn't.

Despite Johnsons adamancy that the transition won't be extended with the US almost certain to go into recession and the rest of the world reeling the idea of being able to make trade deals is risible and I think will force his hand.

Highspot of my day was learning that Cummings is positive!

Inspired message dear Movington 😃Could not agree more. My understanding thus far is that people have till June 2021 to apply for residency according to the FCO webpage on Spain? Yes I know applications have to take place within 90 days of arrival for residency but I guess that is the deadline.

Note to all and I fully concur with Movingon - its comforting to know even the DEVIL incarnate - Cummings the malevolent- 😈😈😈 is not immune to covid19.🍻

What goes around comes around.......that's the way it is. After all he did say during his "herd immunity" measures synopsis," if that means some pensioners die, too bad" 😈.

Enough said about that sewer  rat.

People please. How can you say you are pleased someone has contracted this deadly virus. I wouldn't wish this on anyone. Just because you don't agree with their politics or things they say it does not warrant wishing and gloating about someone's misfortune. Think about what your saying. I'm sure your not as spiteful as you come across. Let's hope we all get over this no matter who they are or there political persuasion.

Movington and Buzzby, part of your previous comments gloating over people catching this horrible virus, are way off the mark.  Come on guys, Behave yourselves and go walk your dog !

Fair enough. My gloves are off. You are right to some degree -    however I don't wish Cummings ill intent ( he is positive for covid19 like thousands of people across the world and most his age fully recover !)

My point is that  he learns from this experience not to repeat his folly and his numerous misendeavours  and treats and thinks of people ( the elderly)  in a more positive light rather than as collateral damage on a map in a bunker in Oxfordshire.😈😠

Make no mistake people like Cummings will get the BEST of healthcare no doubt about it. Many of the elderly now are lucky if they get a ventilator !!

Unfortunately our often maligned and denigrated elderly population who have done so much for there families and the world are treated by people like Cummings with such disregard, a lack of respect and probably contempt ( no doubt a trait he picked up after numerous years working in the Soviet union 😮😮).

His behaviours and attitudes are unacceptable in a civilized British society or any civilized society period.

I apologize though if i caused offense to members on this forum. 😢

Kind regards,

This post started about Residency, many of us are in the UK seeing our dreams dashing on the rocks of getting over and obtaining this before the year is out now.  All our years of planning, leaving jobs, planning our financials carefully etc....  The topic went off piste, so back to Residency, Buzzby27 you say it's on FCO about we have until next summer to apply, can you find that for us to give us back some hope?

thanks

Jill
