Hello

I'm trying to find out if anyone from Denia down to Calpe has knowledge of the duration of long term rental contract needed to be accepted for Residencia.  A lawyer in costa blanca south told me that if you're in Torreveja their town hall requires a year, so assume this could depend on your local town hall?  We are still in UK and will be looking for a rental from Sept in Costa Blanca North, we have a little dog so that limits our choice a bit as we don't want apartments and a more self contained plot.  Any experiences would be welcome.  I don't want to waste time looking at winter lets of 6 months if this isn't going to be accepted.

thanks

Jill

Hello Jill,

You don't need a rent contact to apply for Residency in Alicante.

You only need to be on the Padron. And you can be on the Padron with any contact longer than 3 months.

If something changes because of TIE, I will write a blog in www.advisorcostablanca.com
