When I bought my house in La Marina 15 years ago I joined Cam bank which subsequently became bancsabadell. I am not resident in Spain but my annual fees with Sabadell are €96 maintenance and €11.70 administration. Can anybody recommend a cheaper bank and how easy is it to swap banks in Spain?

As a non resident you will always have to pay a fee to your bank. Two choices. Become a resident and pay your wages monthly into your account  or pay the bank charges. I have to suck it up and pay but it's a small price to pay.

Hi personally I would not say what you are paying is extortionate obviously no one wants to pay fees but in the scheme of things it's a drop in the ocean how much is your council tax in the UK now that is extortionate!

Bought our house 18 months ago, using Sabadell, just changed accounts to a fee free account as long as you are putting money in monthly or quarterly. Great news👍

We were in with Sabadell yesterday and found we had a non resident account that had a quarterly fee of 30 Euros and charges for all transactions. Additionally 30 Euros for each bank card. She changed ud over to the best non resident account which was also 30 Euros a quarter, but no charge for the 1st bank card and fee free transactions. If you are only paying the amounts you quoted, you are doing better than most non residents with Sabadell.

We did go into Bankinter a couple of weeks ago and was advised they charge 15 Euros a quarter and no fee transactions. We will be changing over to them later this year at the start of our next winter break, in case anything goes wrong with the changeover of Direct Debits, so we can be here to sort.

That' the one we had. She offered us a no charge account with no fees even for an extra card as I didn't have one just the wife. We are non residents. Don' even have to change direct debits , same account number.

Check out Deutsche Bank . We are non resident and pay no fees just transfer 600 euros per month and use card twice I think
