The glass on my iPad has cracked, who are the best people to mend this. Please.

The cost depends on size. Usually Carrefour centres have repair shops.

My husband had his old iPad screen replaced by a local independent electronics firm. We were given a choice between sourcing the genuine ‘Apple’ screen which was expensive against a substitute. We chose the substitute which was around 150Eu a couple of years ago. It functioned perfectly well until he dropped it again at which point we bought a new one, feeling that it was no longer worth spending money on.

ONCE ANYONE REPAIRS YOUR IPAD OR IPHONE, APPLE WILL NO LONGER LOOK AT IT.   Go to the apple department  at Carrfour and make enquiries . Ask if the repair is under warranty,  it may be better to pay more to have your iPad repaired by the correct people. How many mega bites does your iPad have ? If the smallest, it could be cheaper to buy a new one!

The only problem about getting a new screen is that it makes the iPad weaker. My original iPad cost an awful lot because in those days I wanted to access WiFi so the iPad had a SIM card which allowed me to pay for WiFi ( like a ‘phone) anyway, I dropped it and got a guy to put a new screen on it.  Not long afterwards, a simple bang cracked the screen again. That was the end of it. A new cheaper, smaller  version was purchased and it does the job but the full sized 

one was far superior.
