Buses from Urb. to Alicante and the beach

Does anyone know please if/when the large buses are coming into service between the Urb and Alicante? Last time I was there, a minibus was being used which was full by the time it got to the Urb.
Also, when do the buses start running to the beach from the Urb please? I'm coming over in a couple of weeks.
