Has anyone had experience of using  Margits Car Rental, based in La Marina Urb please - Calle Madrid? There was one message on here dated 13th November which was positive. I've checked Trustpilot and there is only one review in 2023 which was positive but others before that were generally pretty damning! Horror stories about vehicles breaking down, unclean, windows not closing properly etc. I believe the cars are older and therefore cheaper than mainstream rentals. It appears to be Danish run and it may possibly have been taken over and now providing a good service. I'd welcome details of any experiences with this company please. Seem very cheap according to their website.

Dear bpc223.

I am one of the new owners of margits car rental. Yes, unfortunately, the previous owner did nothing to service his customers, which is why there are many really bad reviews on trustpilot.

We have taken over margits car rental from 1 November 2022, and have replaced a lot of cars, which we took over from the previous owner with newer cars, and are trying everything we can to correct the bad reputation the previous owner has unfortunately created.

It is correct that we rent out older cars, and therefore there is also no deposit of typically €1000, nor do we try to sell you extra insurance to earn extra €. The offer you get when you apply is the price you pay in cash when we hand over the car, (it is possible to transfer via bank if you want to support the banks to earn even more than they already do;) )

We try to make car hire as easy and cheap as possible, so you can spend your money on good food, drinks, yourself and family.

Everybody is welcome to contact us at: https://margitsbiludlejning.dk/
