Whenever I arrive at Alicante airport I see men there from off airport car hire companies holding cards with names on waiting to pick customers up.

Does anyone know who these car hire companies are and if they are any good?

Fed up with paying on airport prices and have had bad experiences with off airport before

Thanks

Don't know about Alicante specifically but at most major airports you can order a pickup as part of a car hire deal.

Don't expect it to be free or cheap though especially if you are in the £2/day bargain basement market sector!

Flamenca Cars meet you just outside.   Highly recommended.   However, they aren't always the cheapest option.  We always get an online quote from them and compare with Centauro (who we have also used many times), and go with whichever is the cheapest for our dates.  If Flamenca is just a bit more expensive,  we go with them, as their service is so good.

Lara cars meet you and take you to the car in the carpark, which is a lot quicker at busy times, their prices are all inclusive which will make them seem more expensive than the big boys, but you can also pay by cash and no 800-1200eu deposit that takes ages to get back either
