Hi all, I am sure others like me must have brought stuff from UK to their home in Spain but returned with no baggage?

I have just booked a return flight with Easyjet and they do not let you differentiate your baggage needs between both flights, so I have had to purchase a 23KG hold bag for the return trip even though I will be carrying nothing!

Has anybody had this problem?, can I get a refund and how do I even tell Easyjet in advance?

My other question relates to a musical instrument,  Easyjet seem to say on the following link, that you can take a musical instrument to count as one item of hand luggage, my Guitar in its case is far less at only 102cm long, yet elsewhere, Easyjet state cabin luggage must not exceed 50cm?   https://www.easyjet.com/en/help/baggage/musical-instruments

Quite a few times when booking tickets, I've found that booking 2 one way tickets have been cheaper than buying a return!!

I did experiment with booking to single flights rather than a return, the return flight booked as a return, was only £9, even with the extra for hold baggage that I wont need, it was still cheaper than I could find a one way ticket to return for. Wish I had known about booking with no luggage then adding one later!.

Ring up easyjet and you can book unusual items on as sports equipment and also you can book it for one way only . I have brought several items over to Spain using this method etc tv, mattress . Just book your flights as normal and then ring up to add these items.

Hope this helps

The one I don't understand is their hands free baggage option, it's just £7 each way added after booking to check in a hand luggage size bag with no weight limit when they charge  between £13.99 and £33.99 for 15KG when booked with your flight????

Hi,

I have brought a number of guitars over. I just ring up after the booking and tell them I only want it one way.

I also have brought electric bikes over but the last one came by UPS as Ryanair won't take them because of the battery. To be honest UPS was cheaper and it arrived on time. I would use them again. If sending a guitar make sure it is properly insured though. LeoMac7
