Hi everyone, my husband and I are looking to buy a holiday home on the Costa Blanca. We are coming over for a viewing trip on 21st September, we are using Spanishlegalhomes does anyone know about this company? I haven’t read many good reviews about them and getting a bit anxious about it.

I have put La Marina down as my place of choice but want to check out all other areas south of Alicante.

Your help would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much Kim for your response. We have already signed up for a viewing trip with this company. I’m just hoping the few negative comments about the company are just that..a few. Maybe we don’t always here about the successful ones. I’m waiting for a phone call from them nearer the time of us coming I will suss out then what the next move will be.

I take on board everything you have said and will keep it in mind. We are not easily fooled and certainly won’t be parting with any money until we are sure.  We will look at properties and then come home and think about it without anyone breathing down our necks.

We found a property ourselves but it was a new build and then we found an agent who was highly recommended. I’m sure I’ve heard and seen this company at the place in the sun exhibition. But not heard any comments about them. As last comment don’t rush into anything there’s lots of agents and property we decided to buy in la marina after our search. Good luck👍😁

As above

we are moving over next month.

we rented houses in the area we thought was the best for us and went on viewings with most of the agents in that area. we drove around the costa blanca to visit areas to see if any of them captured us away from where we were looking.

It has taken us a year, but that includes selling our house in Yorkshire.

Hi Elaine

We used Spanish Legal Homes (Euro Prestige).

I thought they were excellent, no pressure whatsoever and very helpful. However, I suspect a lot of this was down to Jean-Paul who was our guide. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Sadly he has left Euro Prestige and has gone free lance.  We are now looking for another property and are using Jean-Paul. He's brill and a fraction of the cost of main agents.  If you need his details please let me know.

By the way agents like the one you are using need to make around 10,000euros on each property. They have to pay for the viewing trip somehow. I found a few properties I like with the agent, but I also saw them with other agents for 10,000 less.

Hi Kim

Jean-Paul finds legal property for his clients but he doesn't add to the cost like some of the agents. He normally works on a smallish commission and doesn’t have the large overheads established agent have.

By the way I have no commercial connection to Jean-Paul whatsoever. I just found him to be honest, helpful and knowledgeable.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to reply to me. It seems their are different views on using an agent. I am coming out next week so will let you know how I get on.
