Have you tried all the usual booking sites? It is illegal to rent out for holiday purposes without a Tourist Licence so anybody offering you accommodation without one risks large fines and your friends risk not only being fined but being turfed out mid holiday if they take one.

The best sites to try (as they insist on license numbers) are

www.spain-holiday.co.uk

www.homeaway.co.uk

the forum site www.propertyandvillasinspain.com

And whilst I'm not keen on the site myself you can try the tripadvisor site www.holidaylettings.co.uk

All except the forum site have the option to put dates in so only those saying they have availability would be shown.  You may have to consider a little away from La Marina to get a legal let at this notice.

Good luck.

Try Nick at leja, lejavillas@villas-to-rent-in-spain.com

He'll have another on his books in a couple of weeks with some availability. Pm me for more info.

I have a licensed property without a door plaque, is this a requirement?

Dave, Once you have your license you need to get your official plaque.  It is a requirement.  It can be displayed either inside or outside (recommend inside) close to the main entrance.  You also need to purchase an official book of complaints forms and display the official sign to say you have them.  You must also register with the Guardia Civil to be able to use their web site to record all your guests passports details (for those over 16 years).

Thanks, will get onto this when we're there in a couple of weeks.
