Hi all,

Is it possible to get car insurance as a Spanish resident in the U.K. to drive a British car?

I still own a house in the uk

Many thanks

Not easily, being UK resident is #1 prerequisite with virtually all insurers.

Owning a property has nothing to do with it.

Yes

Liberty Seguros will insure your British car (we had this arrangement for the UK cars that we brought to Spain, before they were re-registered here).

We still have a car in the UK. Last week, Admiral agreed to re-insure it. Their only stipulation was that our Spanish driving licences show the dates (the years) that we passed our UK tests - they show this on the reverse side. The insurance documentation was issued with "change of licence details" shown on it.

Thank you so much, at least it gives me somewhere to start.

Best wishes
