HOLIDAY HOME
Hi, owing to Brexit me and the hubby are now looking at purchasing a holiday home to be used half the year rather than making a permanent move. As our budget has now reduced we are looking at somewhere a little inland from the coast and Las Filipinas looks ideal (we did visit Villamartin quickly when we holidayed in La Zenia in 2019).
We would still like to be in a community with permanent residents so that we can make friends and meet up with when we are there so it is really an affordable lock up and leave second home we are after.
Are there good transport links to the beaches? Is it easy to get internet and UK TV and what sort of cost would we be looking at? Are there people in the area who could check on our property while we're back in the UK? Are there a lot of expats in the area? We will be looking for a 2 bed apt with communal pool.
Any other useful info from holiday home owners would be much appreciated.
Apologies for the long winded take but Brexit has thrown a right spanner in our plans so looking at buying sooner than expected as no need to wait until retirement (young at heart 50+ couple) 😁
