Hi

My plan is/was to live in Spain for 9 months of the year from next spring. My solicitor has put me on the waiting list for resedencia telling me it will be almost impossible before 31st October?

Assuming we have a hard brexit will I be able to get resedencia once I am no longer an EU citizen?

Thanks in advance

Mark

Nothing is guaranteed but the situation at this instant is that those who can demonstrate that they were legally living in Spain and/or were actively seeking an appointment for residencia before Brexshite will, post Brexshite, be able to apply for residencia much as they do now.

After that UK citizens (Irish excepted) applying for residencia will be treated the same as any other non EU applicant where the criteria are much more stringent, particularly in regard to income.

Hi all, my wife and I are considering applying for residencia. We are both British but have been living in France for 15 years and have French permanent residency cards, is this likely to make it easier or harder to apply?

My wife and I got our green cards last week, the solicitor (SunLawyers) got us a ‘cancellation’ at Orihuela, I understand that if you are able to travel and accept just a few days notice, appointments are still available. Good luck.

Thanks for the advice hopefully it may not be as urgent now due to what’s happening back in the UK.
