Hi there everyone,

I was wondering if anyone out there has had any success in applying and obtaining a Padron electronically using the on-line process?

The reason I ask is because the earliest appointment date our solicitor can get for us to do this in person in Torrevieja is 26th October!!

He has made the application on-line but said he won't know if that's been successful for at least a couple of weeks so made the appointment as a back-up which is why I'm asking if anyone else has any experience or knowledge of getting the Padron on-line.

My concerns are that until we get the Padron our solicitor cannot make the 1st stage application, electronically, for our TIE's and until I have my TIE I cannot apply to exchange my drivers licence.

As always, appreciate your comments.

Thanks BAZ

As I said in reply to your other post, you don't need a TIE to swap a license, but you do need to be on the padrón.

I can't give you a full guide, but I can get you well on the way.

You first need to complete an application form, and the download link is:

https://torrevieja.sedelectronica.es/?x=ll*PK-m-OaFKbutN37Drw3Zo1Fui6mBqUTJ8yrzmC-TjUlrKIciOyzjv7AJDfvOfgU79ehIHNttaFvTailcafer880lRUkYLhmQlTEhCUXuTrrAwhkaY80hst-5hCgjx

Then go to:

https://torrevieja.sedelectronica.es/dossier.0

Scroll down to EST03 - Solicitud de alta en el padrón municipal de habitantes de Torrevieja, and on the right click Tramitación Electrónica.

Click cl@ve.

In eIdentifier click Access.

Select your electronic certificate and click OK.

Select Soy el interesado and click COMENZAR.

In Datos a efectos de notificaciones enter your mobile number.

In Expone/solicita put alta en el padrón.

Click Seleccione una opción and click the empadronamiento option, then click Guardar.

Click SIGUIENTE.

On the next page, for the first two documents, change the drop down option to Decido aportarlo mi mismo.

For the first one, click ADJUNTAR and upload a copy of the application, and for the second upload a copy of your passport.

At the bottom, I suggest you upload a copy of the nota simple from your deeds, or a utility bill in your name - i.e. proof of your address.

Then click SIGUIENTE.

After that, you're on your own! And you owe me a coffee.

PS: I don't know if you'll need to digitally sign it on a later page, but if you do you'll need AutoFirma installed.

Hi Jim,

I’d be happy to buy you a coffee, you’ve been a great help on this and past questions I’ve asked.

I’m pretty sure our solicitor has done exactly what you’ve said but he just wasn’t certain on how long the online process takes or if it’s actually working so made an appointment to go in person as a backup (Plan B), unfortunately the earliest appointment date to go in person wasn’t until 26th October.

I’ll let everyone know how we get on but also happy to hear from others that may have completed the Padrón online process and been successful..

The number of coffee’s I need to buy you as a thanks Jim is steadily growing so we’ll have to meet up if you’re up for that. Would be nice to meet you and have some meaningful banter..

Thanks

Baz

Assuming you succeed, I suggest you write a Baz's Guide on the subject. That would help a lot of others and, if you refer it to Alex, it will earn you another 50 brownie points.

Hello,

I have applied for the Padron online more than 1 month ago in Torevieja, and I'm still waiting for it.

Thanks for the information, not what I wanted to hear but at least I can be prepared for a long wait. I’ll certainly be having my solicitor chase this regularly after about two weeks and see how it goes. I’ll let you all know how I get on..

We applied online for a change of address for our padron. After five weeks we received a copy of our initial padron. The correct one was received after seven weeks. It does take quite some time, we visited the town hall and were told it would take at least five weeks. However I will say that I had made some errors in the submission. After getting the email and submitting the corrected documents the padron was received later that day.
