I bank through Wise and previously drew cash out at Deutchbank with no charges, however, they now charge a fee. Are there any other banks that don’t charge a fee for withdrawals

Banks that don't charge for your own cash withdrawal are as rare as Hen teeth. If you find one can you post it online here for the Non Resident

Deutsch bank are still free withdrawals with a Starling card, can't speak for other cards though. At least they were in July when we used the one in Torrevieja.

It was free at Deutsch bank in July with our Wise card but now they are charging 1.5%
It’s still cheap compared to other banks some are charging over 10%
Pity the nearest one to us is in La Mata quite a way from us

Yeah it's a strange one, I've just been looking on their website and it's still saying that they provide free withdrawals from their atm's but obviously not.
I used to use Bankinter but they started to charge as well, I've read that they only charge 50 cents but not sure if that's right or not.
Maybe worth a try!

For the non resident only.... UK Santander account allows fee free debit card withdrawal from Santander ATMs on mainland Spain, at the bank rate. Press the "Do not convert" button during the transaction for the best rate. Money is taken directly from your UK Santander account at the current bank rate.
Their Credit card always allows purchases in Spain without any fees. (as long as you pay in full each month)

You also get 7% interest on 1st £4000 for 12 months (I don't work for Santander)
Just realised that account above is £3 per month but would earn £280 in interest plus any cashbacks. This one's free...https://www.santander.co.uk/personal/current-accounts/everyday-current-account

Is it possible to invest a figure sum for a non Resident in Spain. As interest rate you quoted is double what I get in Republic of Ireland. Any State guarantees with Bank deposit in Spain??. That is a big concern as they were all to big to fall the last recession and we all seen what happened 😳 😕

Regarding Santander debit card usage - does it show the exchange rate. Can’t imagine it would be as good as Wise.
Not used Santander card yet due to that reason

Hi
Look for Cashzone ATMs. They are free provided your money is already held in your Wise EUR account. You don't say where you are exactly, but you can search for them in Google Maps. But don't forget about the charges imposed by Wise once you've passed your monthly limit.
If your money is held as GBP then there'll be a conversion fee, but I'm not sure whether it's Wise or Cashzone who will charge it.
Me n the missus always use Cashzone, there's quite a few scattered around the La Zenia etc area.
Cheers
Steve
