Go to a notary who will have templates made up for that purpose and will adapt them to your specifics. Cost depends but the one in Rojales provides them for around 60 euro whereas solicitors will charge up to 300 euro so avoid them.

Thank you so much
I just paid €300 for a will to be drawn up for me using the U.K. format and not the Spanish one. Spain has different regulations and you would have to follow the guidelines of equal percentages for your children. With the U.K. format it isn’t necessary. My will is in English and Spanish. My solicitor speaks both languages perfectly and drew up the will according to my specifications. We then went to a notary (who also speaks fluent English, Spanish & Italian) and I signed the will which is then registered in Madrid, as a Spanish will would be.

And that's the way a notary will do it without going through a solicitor and paying loads (like we did until we found out). Our neighbour's will has been written taking into account the different regulations and formats in your home country. The notary also registers the will in the central registry in Madrid. Our neighbour paid 60 euro for a will virtually identical to the one we paid 300 euro for and got a copy in both English and Spanish.
We live and learn.

I wasn’t sure that a Notary would give me a reasonable time for consultation before deciding on the wording of my will as in my experience you have to take a pre-worded document to the notary. I needed to discuss and put my mind at rest with my solicitor before proceeding to write out what I want to happen upon my death!
I didn’t personally know a notary in my area but my solicitor knew exactly what I was looking for according to languages (not just English and Spanish) and found the appropriate person.
I know I could have paid less but I needed to set out certain clauses to my satisfaction and I am perfectly happy with what I have obtained.
